Join us on a tour and enjoy breathtaking views of the city as you learn about Atlanta’s rich history. Our Atlanta tours are unique, and we specialize in telling the unique historical stories of Atlanta while focusing on the unique character of Atlanta’s fascinating neighborhoods.
Visitors want to see Atlanta from a local’s point of view. They will see in a short time, what they couldn’t possibly experience traveling on their own. You will learn more about those little known neighborhoods that you can’t see from the highways or main streets.
We offer fully customized tours for groups.
The Civil Rights Tour will tell the stories of Georgia’s beginnings as the last of the original thirteen colonies on and up to Georgia’s roles in the Civil War, Reconstruction, the Jim Crow Era and the Modern Civil Rights Movement. The Civil Rights Tour offers an on-site view of the rich heritage rooted in Atlanta’s African American community over the past century.
Atlanta’s African American community has been an integral part of the city of Atlanta since before the Civil War. Segregated by Jim Crow laws, Atlanta’s black population developed a network of independent businesses, churches, and community institutions, including a remarkable cluster of five black colleges around Atlanta University.
